What does it take to build a 335 km road through one of Malaysia's most remote and geographically challenging regions — on time and on budget? For Jabatan Kerja Raya Sarawak (JKRS), the answer was a digital twin.
Working with Bentley software including OpenRoads Designer, SYNCHRO 4D, ProjectWise, and iTwin Capture, JKRS transformed how they designed, coordinated, and delivered the Sarawak Sabah Link Road Phase 2 — cutting design time by 50%, reducing costs by 30%, and minimizing environmental impact by 80%.
This project now sets the benchmark for infrastructure delivery across Malaysia.
