This model is based on the Town Box minivan. The Town Box Wide, which went on sale in June 1999, featured large front and rear bumpers, "bubble" wheel arches and an aerodynamic body kit. The body is equipped as follows: two front doors + two sliding doors + rear "gates". The interior is equipped with six seats arranged in three rows. Each seat is separated from the other. The Mitsubishi Town Box Wide has a "box" appearance, which is very practical to use. Low thresholds are convenient for boarding and disembarking. The length of the Town Box Wide cabin is 2490 mm (+ 650 mm given the third row), its width is 1260 mm (+ 40 mm), and the height is 1225 mm, which is 100 mm less — the high roof is replaced by a standard one. The free passage between all rear seats allows you to transport long things without removing them. If necessary, the third row of seats folds against the walls, and if you fold the second row, the cabin is transformed into a huge luggage compartment. The Mitsubishi Town Box Wide model was equipped with driver and passenger airbags, three-point seat belts, and side impact protection reinforcements in the doors as standard.
