The Ultimate 2010 Mac Pro Upgrade in 2020 [Part 1]

Описание: It finally arrived! My 5,1 (2010) Mac Pro! Watch as I unbox, install an SSD & MacOS, and talk about the future plans I have for this computer for LoveTech. Long term goal: Make this into a powerhouse media server as I expand my videography for LoveTech. Stay tuned to the channel as I will be adding a lot more mods to this in the near future!

---------------------------MacOS Installer Instructions---------------------------
===On a Separate Computer===
1. Download
a. Mojave Installer- https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/macos... OR
b. High Sierra Installer- https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/macos...
2. Create a Bootable Mac OSDisk of Mojave or High Sierra- https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201372
===On the Target Computer ========================
3. Install the SSD or Harddrive into your computer.
4. Put the USB into your Mac and hold down the “Option” key while booting to boot off the USB drive.
5. Once the ISO file loads, open “Disk Utility” and then find your target drive that you want to install Mojave or High Sierra onto.
6. Click “Erase” and format the drive as “OSX Extended (Journaled)” and let Disk Utility format the drive.
7. Exit “Disk Utility” and this will bring you back to the main menu. Install Mojave or High Sierra on the 5,1 Mac Pro (in this case I installed it on a new 250 GB SSD).
8. Let the MacOS installer install and boot into the OS and complete setup.
9. If you installed Mojave (you need a Metal supported graphics card to do this) and want to upgrade your 5,1 Mac Pro to Catalina, download & install the Catalina Patcher from dosdude1 (this will install Catalina on your unsupported Mac): http://dosdude1.com/catalina/
