I associate a lot of memories with this song. When I met Thomas Blug at a guitar workshop in 2011 and got more involved with his music, I was immediately captivated by his sense for melodies and his expressive electric guitar playing.
"I Won't Forget" is a great example of that. You can hear it in the original on the 2009 solo album "Soul and Pepper." Definitely give it a listen. It's worth it.

I first played the song myself in 2016, when a musical companion passed away. Originally, Thomas was supposed to play at the farewell event for him, but unfortunately he couldn't make it, so he asked me to fill in for him. Since then, I had the desire to record this beautiful song.
When my dear cousin passed away far too early this year, the song came back to me, and so I finally played and recorded it now for her.
I wish everyone a healthy and peaceful year 2026.
