White-cheeked Pintails can be identified first of all by their head coloration. The throat and cheeks are feathered white, the rest of the body is dark brown. The beak shaft is dark red in color, the front beak half is dark gray.
Die Bahamaenten sind vor allem an ihrer Kopffärbung zu erkennen. Hals und Wangen sind weiß befiedert, der Rest des Körpers ist dunkelbraun. Der Schnabelschaft ist dunkelrot, die vordere Schnabelhälfte dunkelgrau.
