It’s about a person who’s mentally and spiritually burning out in a modern, wired world — a “short circuit” between human emotion and machine logic. The narrator’s soul is corroding, tangled in their own self-destructive loops, trying to find meaning while feeling more like code than flesh.
They talk to ghosts, machines, and corrupted memories — none of which offer salvation — and by the end, they stop fighting the collapse. That final line “Am I deranged, or just set free?” isn’t defeat, it’s release.
