Goat ASMR: Let your nervous system relax to the sound of goats grazing

Описание: Even though I have chose to live as a goat herder, I still find stress, anxiety and the noise of the busy world creeping in. I have noticed that the sounds of the goats walking, foraging, and eating are very relaxing to my nervous system.

Maybe it’s because my ancestors were herders? Maybe it’s because animals grazing is a signal of a safe and calm environment (they are not alarmed at a predator or other threat) and that most human nervous systems would remember this deep knowing?

Whatever the reason, I felt inspired to share some of the daily sounds and imagery of my herd with you, may it bring a little (or a lot) of peace calm into your day :)


You will see that we found a thistle patch (some people consider thistle an undesirable and noxious weed). Some people say goats do not like thistles, but you can see here that they are choosing to eat thistles over many other plants. So why spray chemicals, when you can turn undesirable plants into amazing nutritious milk?

We didn’t get to this patch in time for the goats to graze the thistles down before they seeded, but if this patch was consistently grazed earlier in the year, the native plants would likely be able to take their hold back on this piece of ground.
