In this video, you will learn how to set up a 2-way structural coupling between Ansys Rocky and Ansys Mechanical using System Coupling.
The video demonstrates how to link forces from Rocky with boundary displacements from Mechanical, enabling accurate simulations of complex scenarios like mining operations, industrial processes, and more. This coupling also provides a huge gain in handling complex interactions between DEM particles and SPH elements with structural responses, allowing more comprehensive and accurate simulations.
The tutorial covers the necessary steps on both Rocky and Mechanical sides, focusing on transient structural systems within Workbench. You will also see how to configure mesh import, data transfers, and post-processing options.
