Hey Everyone,

During the 24-26th long weekend we decided to visit to Coorg, which is in kodagu of district of Karnataka. Coorg is around 280-300kms from Bengaluru and can be done in own vehicle in and around 5 hours.

We started our journey from Bengaluru at 9.00am on 24th Jan, 2026.
We went via Mysuru Expressway and had lunch in Mysore and connected with usual route which is Hunsur & then Kushalnagar.

During the long weekend its usually difficult to find a good property and that too in budget. But we have found out a good property. Details are below:

Stay - Villa Abhirathi

Stay is around 5 kms from Madikeri town in a lush green huge coffee estate property.
Stay is recommended and suitable for couple or friends.
Food option is not available otherwise it would have been a perfect budget stay for families as well.

The Property is having individual rooms as well as a full fledge bunglow and will be suitable for bigger groups.

We had our lunch in Mysore in Bamboo Restaurant which was good

We also visited Elephant Dubare Camp but unfortunately the river crossing was clossed by 5.00pm so we could not visit the other side.

Our Vehicle - XUV 3OO W8 O Petrol AmT
Mileage was approx. - 16.5 on highways
