In this vlog, I take you behind the scenes of my trip to Chengdu, China, for the World Games Series — my first time racing at this incredible international event! I competed in the lifesaving events: the 100m Rescue Medley and 200m Super Lifesaver, finishing 5th and 8th in two stacked fields of world-class athletes.
While the results weren’t what I hoped for, the experience was one for the ages. Being part of an event that also featured sports like fin swimming, freediving, and boules was unreal — and it’s fired me up for the rest of the season and my mission to qualify for the next World Games in Germany in 2029.
