Do you think oil could reach $100–$150 if geopolitical tensions escalate, or will markets stabilize before that happens?
Financial crises rarely appear out of nowhere.
When studying global economic history since 1900, a repeating macro pattern begins to appear. In many cases, major crises occur after a specific sequence of events involving energy markets and central bank policy.
This video explains what I call the Macro Crisis Blueprint.
The pattern often begins with a geopolitical oil shock that pushes energy prices sharply higher. Rising oil prices quickly translate into inflationary pressure across the global economy because energy affects transportation, manufacturing, and production costs worldwide.
As economic conditions begin to deteriorate, central banks typically respond by cutting interest rates in an attempt to stabilize markets and prevent deeper economic contraction.
However, historical data suggests that this reaction often occurs after economic momentum has already weakened.
Looking at 17 major historical crises, we find that 14 occurred after aggressive interest rate cutting cycles began, creating an 82% correlation between rate cuts and crisis development.
The sequence often unfolds in several stages:
Geopolitical tension triggers oil supply disruptions
Oil prices spike rapidly
Inflation pressures rise across the economy
Central banks begin aggressive rate cuts
Economic momentum collapses
Demand destruction causes oil prices to crash
This pattern has appeared during major historical events including:
• the 1973 oil embargo
• the 1979 Iranian revolution
• the 2008 global financial crisis
Today, global markets are once again facing rising geopolitical tensions and energy market volatility.
If oil prices continue moving toward $100 or even $150, the potential macroeconomic consequences could become significant for inflation, central bank policy, and financial markets worldwide.
This video explores the historical pattern, the current macro environment, and the possible scenarios that traders and investors should be watching closely.
Understanding macroeconomic patterns does not guarantee perfect predictions, but it allows us to think in probabilities instead of reacting emotionally to market headlines.
