A massive political controversy has erupted in Andhra Pradesh following an RTI disclosure revealing that former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy spent ₹223 crore on air travel during his five-year tenure. Andhra Minister Nara Lokesh led the attack, stating, 'The fact of the matter is when the state was in financial distress... the erstwhile Chief Minister has used public money for his own benefits.' The data indicates ₹87 crore was spent on helicopters alone. In response, the YSRCP dismissed the allegations as politically motivated and demanded similar expenditure records from Chandrababu Naidu's term.
