Long ago, there was a shepherd who raised many sheep.
One morning, he discovered a hole in his sheepfold and one sheep was missing. His neighbor saw this and said, "Hurry and fix the sheepfold, or more sheep will go missing." The shepherd thought it was just one sheep, nothing serious. Besides, what was the point of fixing the sheepfold now that it was gone?
The next day, he found another sheep missing. This time, he regretted his actions: if only he had listened to his neighbor, no more sheep would have gone missing. So he quickly found tools and repaired the sheepfold. From then on, his sheep never went missing again.
