I'm Áindriú

I have always been Catholic.

As a child I wanted to become a 3D animator but I lacked the discipline to teach myself and I did not know any successful Catholic creatives in the film industry.

Without a clear path to my dream profession and struggling with a [C]orn addiction I searched for meaning and a way to become the man I was made to be.

In 2019 I began studying war and leadership
In 2020 I joined the Marine Corps to test out what I'd learned.
In 2021 I started learning Korean at the Defense Language Institute. I had never learned a foreign language before.
In 2022 I broke free from addiction and graduated from the Defense Language Institute in the top ten percent of students to ever graduate in any language.

From my first days as a private to my last days as a sergeant I was constantly in leadership positions. The time I spent not in leadership positions totals to just a few months out of my 5 year term. I lead teams of anywhere from 4 to 60 men and women, who I lead through physical and mental challenges, including (arguably) the most grueling language school on earth. My teams consistently won competitions and recognition for excellence and professionalism.

I have never seen combat or deployed. In part, due to refusing to take certain vaccines.

In 2024 I married the most amazing woman I know.
In 2025, with my enlistment ending, I took everything I'd learned about war, leadership, and applied it to my next mission. I became a tektōn.

A tektōn is a Catholic creative professional, dedicated to excellence through self-mastery and self-giving. Tektōns work mainly in small "fireteams" of 2-6 people to produce creative works for the purpose of building the kingdom of God by glorifying the good, the true, and the beautiful.

Along with learning animation, I now work to spread knowledge of our unique vocation to become warriors for Christ in our culture.
