When her friend fell pregnant and was forced into an early marriage, Angele wanted to learn more about girls' rights. In Benin, 27.5% of girls are married by the age of 18, with nearly 60% never finishing school. Attending training workshops run by Plan International helped Angele to understand her sexual health and reproductive rights better.
"My friends, don't you see how much we're enjoying learning about our rights? I'm sure that one day, all of us will know all about our rights and benefit from them," says 18-year-old Angele. "I'm on my way to finishing secondary school and I plan to go to university to study medicine."
