Описание: PayPal just lost 6 billions dollars because it threatened to police what people can and can’t say on the internet.

Maybe after Elon Musk fixes the free speech problems with Twitter, he can also fix PayPal, he did create that company back in the 90s, if you recall.

In case you missed it, PayPal decided that it was going to fine its users $2,500 for posting “misinformation” online.

It added terms to users agreements that would allow PayPal to simply take thousands of dollars from the users bank accounts, that’s the important part, it would allow PayPal to just debit your bank account that you linked, if they thought something was misinformation.

Misinformation is an interesting term that is so broad and so vague that giving these companies the ability to charge you when they perceive “misinformation” basically gives them the ability to abuse people they don’t like, people who can’t fight back.

Also have you noticed how a lot of the “misinformation” that was being put out a year or two ago, seems to be confirmed to be true now?

Like the people who questioned the government, the media and the pharma companies two years ago and were called crazy, it seems now like a lot of their concerns were legitimate?

Well, there is some good news here and that is that independent media and the free market did what they were supposed to do in this case.

The Daily Wire broke the story.

PayPal, even though they were trying to be very sneaky about adding these terms to the user agreements, got exposed and their shares dropped, wiping out 6 billions dollars of value and on top of that “delete PayPal” is a massive trending search term as people scramble to delete their accounts.

I just did it this morning, Pro Tip for you, when you are deleting your PayPal account, there will be a link right before you delete your account that will allow you to first delete all your data that PayPal has.

Make sure you delete all your data first, THEN delete your paypal account.

If you just delete your paypal account, you immediately will lose access to it and you won’t be able to get back in to delete the data and I doubt that paypal will voluntarily do it, I would assume they just keep whatever they have on you stored on their servers so they can sell and share that data, it’s a profit stream for them, so I’m sure they keep if you let them.

For those of you who think that maybe these tech, finance and media companies policing speech IS a good idea, I would like to ask you to do a simple thought exercise.

Imagine that today, these companies uphold your ideals and shut down the speech of those you disagree with.

They are champions of these causes that you want to see succeed.

So you agree to give them the power to shut down people, close their bank accounts, close their social media accounts and make them digital pariahs.

Screw those guys, they are evil anyways. Who cares? Don’t give them a platform.

Okay.

You won and these big global corporations will fight on your behalf to make sure people you don’t like can’t speak up.

A few years go by, and the winds change, political views shift and now YOUR views are out of fashion. The pendulum swung the other way.

No these companies are shutting YOU down, they are closing the accounts of people who fight for your causes.

Keep in mind that these corporations change social causes like people change clothes. Just look at their marketing in other countries, it's VERY different.

They will say whatever they have to grow, to profit and to increase their control.

They don’t actually care about you or your pet causes.

So it might be tempting to unleash them on your political enemies, I know that’s a great feeling, BUT

What if they switch and turn on you next?

The solution is simple.

All of us have to protect the right for people to say things we don’t like.
In other words.

All of us have to protect the right for people to say what they want to say, even if we don’t like it.

If you like thinking for yourself, you have to allow others to think for themselves as well.

If you agree, hit thumbs up and subscribe.

Thank you for watching.
