In this video, I’m walking you through the free motion quilting I’ve done on my Dilly Dally quilt. Each block is custom quilted with a mix of ruler work and small, detailed designs. In the sashing, I stitched flowing squiggly lines that add a soft movement and lovely crinkles. For the borders, I tried something totally new—a snaking feather that curves around each corner. I show you exactly how I marked the quilt using a dinner plate as a guide and how I brought the feather to life on my machine. The plumes are all unique and organic, while the vine stays smooth and steady. Come take a look at how it all came together!
