Yuri On Ice - DIY Hand painted denim jacket - Yuri Plisetsky "Ice Tiger"
Here is my Yuri Plisetsky inspired hand painted denim jacket. Perfect for Yuri Plisetsky cosplay and anyone who wants Yuri Plisetsky inspired outfits! Or, even anime lovers looking for a really cool anime diy or fashion enthusiasts looking for a hand painted denim piece!
My love for figure skating is strong (being a figure skater myself) and the anime Yuri!!! On Ice helped fuel my love for the beautiful sport.
Yurio is my favourite character in the anime series and i thought i'd show some love and appreciation by creating this DIY inspired by Yuri Plisetsky's Tiger sweatshirt.
The Tiger design: https://i.pinimg.com/originals/b1/e9/...
*I do not own this, it belongs to the creator of the anime
What you will need:
Acrylic paints (Black, white, orange, yellow, red)
a collection of paint brushes (very small, medium and a large)
A dish to mix the paints
a denim jacket or garment of your choice
Paper with the sketched out final design (to create the stencils)
Stencil 1 (the outline)
Stencil 2 (The details within)
HOW TO MAKE THE STENCILS:
Trace the design onto greaseproof/tracing paper. Using a pin, poke holes along the lines.
HOW TO USE:
place stencil 1 in the desired area. Using a toothbrush and white acrylic paint, buff in the paint along the lines with holes. Buff in until you cannot see the holes. Once done, lift the stencil carefully and reveal the dotted guide line. Leave to dry for a few minutes.
Paint along the edges with the brown paint neatly with a small brush, covering the white guideline dots. Then cover the centre.
Repeat with stencil 2, paint in the remaining colours.

Mini Q&A
(Please answer in the comments too!)
Q: When did you start Figure Skating? How far have you progressed in this time?
A: Around January/February of 2017. I don't have a coach and teach myself everything, so I'm mainly perfecting basics and simple moves before I advance onto spins etc. I'm making great progress and am very confident now!
