GE Opal OPAL01GENKT ice maker repair. Unit is 4 months old and stopped making ice. Display ring switches blue: "Opal needs more water". The internal water reservoir and the side tank contained plenty of water. Tried the cleaning cycle multiple times with no success.
Our problem was a INTERNAL water chamber had a bunch of crud inside. Once we cleaned it up the ice machine worked perfect. 10 minute fix. Faster after you watch this quick video.
