New Balance Fuel Cell Rebel 2 Review:

Hoka Mach 4 Review:
• Hoka Mach 4 | The Best New Daily Training ...
This video is a review of the New Balance Fuel Cell Rebel V2 compared to the Hoka Mach 4.The retail price for each is $130.00 U.S. dollars. They are neutral road shoes that are lightweight and can accomplish many of your daily workouts including slow paced easy workouts and especially those run experiences when you want to pick-up the pace. The upper on the Rebel 2 is translucent and highly breathable, The eyelet chain begins with an offset design that may take some runners time to get use to it. It does, however, do a great job giving you a solid lockdown feeling all the way back to your heel. The Hoka Mach 4 has a traditional eyelet chain that does a great job of keeping my feeling locked in and secure. The tongue has very little padding on either running shoe. The Rebel 2 tongue laid flat on my feet and did not migrate around. It is not gusseted but does feature wide wings and a loop for your laces to go through that help hold it in place. While the Hoka Mach 4 has a semi gusseted tongue. It is lightly padded and comfortable. The padding around the collar and tab is more than adequate and is comfortable in both the Rebel 2 and the Mach 4. There is more structure in the heel counter fo the Hoka Mach 4 than there is in the Rebel2. The Rebel 2 features the same full length Fuel Cell foam from heel to toe and is soft, cushioned, and bouncy. The Mach 4 has two different types of foam. The first layer is Hoka's Profly foam which is soft and the second layer is a rubberized EVA foam that also doubles as the outsole. Together they are both soft and responsive to run in. The outsole of the Rebel 2 has lots of blown rubber to protect all of the soft midsole foam underfoot. It has plenty of traction and grip to keep you secure to the pavement. While the outsole fo the Hoka Mach 4 does not feature any additional blown rubber, the rubberized EVA foam is durable and does a good job sticking to the road. Overall the New Balance Fuel Cell Rebel 2 is the most fun shoe I have had on my feet so far in 2021. They are lightweight, breathable, soft, with a ton of bounce and energy return. The Hoka Mach 4 is also lightweight, with a breathable upper, and soft midsole. They are more versatile and feel more stable to run in when it comes to pronation. Both are well worth the $130 U.S. dollar price tag.
