Bringing together the best new scholarship in the field, The Antislavery Bulwark: The Antislavery Origins of the Civil War, held October 17 & 18 at the CUNY Graduate Center, pointed toward an important new way of thinking about the origins of the Civil War.
In this video, President Chase Robinson of the Graduate Center introduces the conference, and David W. Blight of Yale University gives the keynote address, on October 17, 2014, in Elebash Recital Hall.
