Morgan was diagnosed with the autoimmune disorder lupus, but did not want it to stop her from starting her own family. In order to follow her dream, she worked with SLUCare Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists at SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital - St. Louis. Along with lupus, Morgan also had a disorder known as cholestasis develop during her pregnancy, greatly increasing the risk of stillbirth.
