This sermon briefly discusses traditional (mis)understandings of Judaism, legalism, "New Perspective" on Paul interpretations (N.T. Wright, J.D.G. Dunn, etc.) that argue that the passage is primarily opposed to ethnocentrism/racism, and then lays out a third way forward that better situates the passage in its context. To understand what Paul is saying here, we have to understand the passages in Leviticus and Deuteronomy that he's citing.
