Leave the day behind and enjoy this gentle yin yoga session in the evening. Bedtime yin yoga for better sleep! This 35 min evening yin yoga routine for beginners reduces stress and targets deep relaxation, letting go, and the fascia. You can do this bedtime yoga in bed, it will help with insomnia, so you can fall asleep straight away. Beginners in yin yoga in bed can hold the asanas from 45 seconds to two minutes, advanced practitioners can stay in the yoga posture for 5 minutes or longer. In this bedtime yin yoga routine just before your sleep, we stay in an asana for about 3 minutes - so it's a good middle ground. ;) I guide you slowly and gently through the various stretches. In this evening or night yoga class, I will explain in detail each yoga exercise such as the eye of the needle, half-butterfly, deer pose, twists bridge pose variation, and savasana. Engage in this calm, slow and soothing evening bedtime yin yoga session for better sleep and enjoy this time all to yourself.
As always, listen to your body, be mindful and gentle with yourself, and don't push yourself beyond your limits. No matter the sport/practice don't force yourself into postures or positions - accept the limits of your body.
Yin Yoga is not only meant to be a complete practice in itself, but also to complement more active forms of yoga. If you have a little more time with you, feel free to check out my channel for active yoga sessions and supplement them with this yin yoga routine at the end.
