Oman Road Trip 🇴🇲| Sunrise in Wahiba Sands to Nizwa & Al Hamra (Hidden Gems of Oman)

Описание: We started our journey with a magical sunrise in Wahiba Sands, surrounded by endless golden dunes and complete desert silence. Watching the sun rise over the sand was peaceful and unforgettable.
From there, we began one of the most scenic road trips in Oman — driving from Wahiba Sands through the dramatic peaks of the Hajar Mountains toward the historic city of Nizwa.

On the way, we explored the traditional Nizwa Souq, filled with Omani silver jewelry, spices, dates, and cultural heritage.

Our journey then continued to Al Hamra, one of the oldest preserved towns in Oman, known for its 400-year-old mud houses. We stayed in a beautiful traditional Airbnb and explored the abandoned old house ruins at sunset — a fascinating yet slightly eerie experience.

The next morning, we woke up to a stunning view of Jebel Shams, the highest mountain in Oman, often called the “Grand Canyon of Arabia.” Although we couldn’t hike it this time, the view itself was breathtaking.
We also visited Bait Al Safah, where a local guide explained traditional Omani lifestyle, cooking methods, house structure, hospitality customs, and how families lived centuries ago.

On the way, we passed beautiful date plantations and saw the traditional falaj irrigation system — an ancient water distribution method still used today.

This trip showed us the true diversity of Oman — from desert sunrise to mountain views, from cultural souqs to ancient towns.
