In this video we will give 2 derivations of Schrödinger's equation: the first one is precisely Schrödinger's original derivation gave in his paper "Quantisation as an eigenvalue problem (part I)" ["Quantisierung als Eigenwertproblem" in german], whereas the second one is a derivation starting from the one-parameter group of strongly-continuos unitary time evolution operators.
These 2 derivations will allow us to get a deeper physical intuitive understanding of the Schrödinger equation, which will in turn allow us to better comprehend the mathematical formalism of quantum mechanics.
