You probably see orange, red, yellow, brown or dark purple robes. Different temples use different colors.
The Buddha asked his monks to fashion their robes from discarded clothing. Bits and pieces of cloth were sewn together and dyed with roots found in the forest. There is no official Buddhist color. Robes are made to approximate the original robe colors.
