Stagecoach South East - Trident Tribute

Описание: That’s it folks, an end of an era! The last Stagecoach South East Trident ALX400 has been withdrawn. These buses were a massive part of my childhood they have always been a big part of my life, these buses were single-handedly one of the reasons I have this hobby. The South East for as long as I can remember has always had tridents and it will be very strange and sad to see something you used to see everyday just disappear. Farewell Tridents!

History of Tridents in the South East:

In late 1999/early 2000 Stagecoach Herne Bay received 3, Euro 2 Dennis Tridents: 17402 (Y Reg) & 17689/90 (X Reg) for the Canterbury Park & Ride service, these were the Stagecoach East Kent’s first low floor buses!

In 2004 Stagecoach Herne Bay received 16, Euro 3 Dennis Tridents 18160-76 (GX54 Reg) for the Triangle service that had just been introduced in the area! These low floor buses gave an ideal link from Canterbury around the seaside towns Herne Bay & Whitstable replacing a bunch of step access Leylands & Volvos!

In late 2005 Stagecoach Herne Bay received 1, Euro 3 Dennis Trident 18331 (GX55 Reg) to provide an extra vehicle for their ever-so popular Triangle!

In early 2006 Stagecoach Herne Bay received 3, Euro 3 Dennis Tridents 18528-30 (GX06 Reg) these also provided extra vehicles for the popular triangle too make sure it could be completely low floor!

In late 2012 Stagecoach Hastings gained 2, Euro 2 Dennis Tridents from London 17106,7 (V Reg). These were provided as extra vehicles!

In Early 2015 Stagecoach Thanet received 2, Euro 2 Dennis trident Plaxton Presidents 17691,3 (X Reg) from Bedford, provided as extra vehicles. Also this year Stagecoach Ashford gained 1, Euro 2 Dennis Trident Plaxton President 18292 (AE51 Reg) From Cambridge, provided as a spare vehicle.
Also at the start of this year, Stagecoach Herne Bay gained 8, Euro 3 Dennis Tridents 17528,9 (LX51 Reg) & 18538 & 18553 (LY02 Reg) & 17582,5,7,90 (LV52 Reg) from London, also provided as spares. Then finally in late 2015 Stagecoach Hastings & Dover Gained 18, Euro 2 Dennis Tridents 17619,23,4 (V Reg) & 17627,8,30,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,9 (W Reg) & 17656,60,3,5 (V Reg) from Manchester also provided as spares!

2016 Saw the Withdrawals of:

In Early 2017 Stagecoach Hastings gained Dennis Trident East Lancs Loylne 17699 (MW52 Reg) from Manchester!

2017 saw the withdrawals of:

2021 saw the withdrawals of:

2022 saw the withdrawals of:
18080 WA04CTV, 18166 GX54DVJ, 18168 GX54DVL, 18171 GX54DVO, 18331 GX55DXL

2023 saw the withdrawals of:

And finally 2025 saw the withdrawals of:
18163 XIL 1560 (GX54DVF), 18172 GX54DVP, 18175 GX54DVU, 18411 AE06GZH & 18528 GX06DYS.

With the last trident in service with the south east being 18411 AE06GZH.
