In this video on Jenny Enlighten Art, I share a slow and calming watercolor painting process focused on atmosphere, texture, and mindful creation. The artwork begins with a clean sheet of watercolor paper and the use of a masking fluid marker for watercolor, gouache, and inks. I carefully apply the masking fluid to preserve the white areas of the paper, protecting the leaves and branch that will become the main subject of the composition.

After the masking fluid dries, I move into painting the background. I work with strong blue watercolor tones, softly blending in yellow areas to create light and depth. While the paint is still wet, I add drops of alcohol to form organic circular textures and flowing patterns. These effects appear naturally as the pigment moves across the paper, creating a unique and unrepeatable background.

Once the painting is completely dry, I gently remove the masking fluid, revealing clean white shapes beneath. The leaves are then painted in warm yellow tones inspired by autumn, with soft shadows and delicate color transitions. I add a thin branch and finish the artwork with subtle water droplets, enhancing the sense of freshness and realism.
