I started the grind a few months after beating ToDIE. I have no idea what I was thinking back then, but I eventually got to 8. Realizing the real challenge were the last 3 floors, I dropped it. I then did ToVS, other EToH catas, ToER and ToCP, and finally decided to get back into this.
My experience with this was really complex. I wasn't like other ToEV grinders who got to 8 multiple times a day and never failed 1-7. Even weeks before I beat this I was still constantly failing the first 7 floors, which are considered totally free to the last 3 floors. This meant I was just gonna have to brute force the win. With a little bit of luck, my 4 f10 runs were made. All of them are horribly stupid, but the first 2 were absolute shenanigans. The final stretch fail hit me hard, but I was able to get back onto the grind quickly after. After a lot of luck and many sessions after that fail, the win finally struck.
