✈️ Myth #1: Retirement travel is stress-free.
Flights still get canceled. Weather happens. Plans crumple. The difference? You’re no longer racing back to work. The problems don’t disappear — your attitude changes. Delays become plot twists instead of crises.

🌍 Myth #2: You’ll be lonely if you travel solo.
As an independent traveler, I’ve found the opposite. Traveling solo has helped me trust myself more, notice more, and even meet lifelong friends — like Anita, whom I met while waiting in line to tour the Hungarian Parliament in Budapest… and randomly ran into again in Croatia! Retirement travel doesn’t isolate you. It can actually introduce you to new people and new possibilities.

🧳 Myth #3: Retirement travel means slowing down.
Yes, I pack differently now (and sometimes check a bag!). But retirement doesn’t mean shrinking your world. It means choosing your pace. When I was 24, I flew to Tokyo for three days and flew straight back to work. Now? I stay longer. I travel more intentionally. I splurge when I want to. I rest when I want to. That’s freedom.

Retirement travel isn’t effortless. It isn’t perfect. And it’s not one long vacation.

It’s something better.

It’s travel designed around who you are now.
