Kash the Corgi – Training Day 4
Many dogs only listen when food is involved. But obedience shouldn’t depend on treats every time.
In this session, I demonstrate how Kash is learning to calmly enter the crate without using food as a bribe. The goal is to teach the dog to listen and respond to guidance, structure, and clear expectations—not just rewards.
When done correctly, the crate becomes a calm and neutral space rather than something the dog tries to avoid.
Part of the training process is helping dogs understand that listening and cooperation are not always tied to food rewards.
