Rosalind De Sainte-Coquille is the scholarly daughter of the affluent gastronomist Herman and younger sister to Max. Contrary to her interest in the sciences, she has a romantic heart and poetic tongue, and is very close with her grandiose and chivalrous brother.

“Rune Factory 2” is the second entry of the Rune Factory series developed by Neverland Co. and published by Marvelous and launched on the Nintendo DS in 2008. Originally marketed as a spin-off of the Bokujou Monogatari series (known in the west as “Story of Seasons,” formerly known as “Harvest Moon” until 2013), Rune Factory 2 is the first installment of the series to be marketed independently from the Bokujou Monogatari name in Japan. Since its debut in 2006, the Rune Factory series has introduced a total of six titles as of 2019, to be seven with the anticipated release of “Rune Factory 5” for the Nintendo Switch in 2021.

Rune Factory is a series of fantasy adventure role-playing video games that feature elements of farming, dungeons, romance, crafting, and more. In "Rune Factory 2,” the protagonist wanders into the seaside town of Alvarna of the Norad Kingdom without his memory and identity. Under a cherry tree, he meets a gentle girl named Mana who offers him a farm, home, and welcome to the town. As the protagonist assimilates into the lifestyle of living off the land and eventually finds love resulting in a joyous marriage, persistent earthquakes continue to shake the town. On one stormy night, the protagonist suddenly remembers why his instincts drew him to Alvarna and without the time to explain, sets off to suppress a looming danger that threatens the town and nation, leaving his wife and child behind to uncover the truths behind the earthquakes and his mysterious disappearance.
