🪵In the EUKI project Humus per la Biosfera, Giacche Verdi Bronte practices the use of Terra Preta on experimental plots for regenerative agriculture on Etna, Sicily. This soil mixture supports the build-up of humus. It is an extraordinarily stable deposit for nutrients and water and even enables the rapid regeneration of degraded soils. Terra Preta also contributes to climate protection through its ability to store the carbon that plants have previously absorbed from the atmosphere into the soil. In this video we explain the further processing into Terra Preta and its application.
