Working in finance can lead to a very high salary, but the amount depends on where someone works.
Kevin explains that starting out as an "Analyst" (the first level of the job), a person can make at least $150,000 in their first year. This is true whether they work at a big bank or at a foundation that manages money for charity.
As people move up to higher roles like a "Director" or "VP," the gap gets a bit bigger:
Private Equity: These managers might make around $700,000 a year.
Foundations: These managers might make around $500,000 a year.
Even though foundations pay a little less at the top, they are still high-paying careers that help grow money for good causes!
