The composer, Robin Frost, wrote this piece as a tribute to the NASA space shuttle program. He did this by putting the lowest and the highest note on the keyboard in one measure, representing going up and coming back down.
Robin Frost was a contemporary ragtime pianist/composer and has written numerous ragtime compositions. His finger-breaking and rhythmic complex piano novelties belong to my personal favorites. I find listening to and playing them a pleasure. Unfortunately, Robin died in March 2020 due to pneumonia.
See the pinned comment for a more detailed biography of the composer.
I transcribed this piece using a MIDI file from http://johnroachemusic.com/
