While America was fighting a two-theater war, foreign coins made during World War II were still being produced by U.S. mints for more than 30 countries. Despite critical metal shortages caused by the war effort, WWII coins continued to be struck in silver, brass, and copper-nickel. Some issues had extremely low mintages—sometimes as few as 100,000—making these World War II–era coins rare, collectible, and highly desirable today.
The presentation was given at the 2017 National Money Show in Orlando by Bob Jaques.
