The Berhampur Municipal Corporation (BeMC) has taken a new step to prevent revenue leakage and ensure transparent transactions.

Under this initiative, all shopkeepers who have taken shop premises from the municipal corporation in Berhampur have been provided with QR codes for digital payments. With this system, traders can directly pay their dues to the corporation through online payment methods.

Officials say the move will help eliminate irregularities in revenue collection and improve financial transparency within the civic administration.

The initiative is expected to make the payment process easier for shopkeepers while strengthening the municipal corporation’s revenue system.
