On the 22nd of July 2008, Tin-Shi Tam played Prelude, op. 16, no. 3, by Alexander Scriabin (1872 - 1915) on the beiaard (carillon) of Laren.
Tin-Shi Tam is a member of the Guild of Carillonneurs in North America and a fellow of the Trinity College of Music of London. At present, she is the Cownie Professor of Music, the university carilloneur at Iowa State University, U.S.A.
The 'Larense Beiaard' is the carillon in the Dutch Reformed Church in Laren, the Netherlands.
Some history: In 1966, mrs. Fokkens from Laren donates a carillon to the community in Laren. It is installed in the tower of the Dutch Reformed church on the Naarderstraat. The carillon has a bright sound, it is one of the most beautiful light carrillons in the Netherlands.
