In this interview, Professor Nekaris shares her career journey, key research achievements, and fresh perspectives on lorisoid evolution. Topics include the challenges of fieldwork on nocturnal species, the role of venom and toothcomb evolution, and how initiatives like the Little Fireface Project are helping protect these elusive primates. A key focus is also on conservation challenges, including worrying trends in the pet trade and the impact of social media videos featuring lorises.
