Episode two of a new series asking a simple question: how far can I push the humble sausage roll? We'll start off small and sensible but this will escalate.
Ingredients:
400g Sausage meat.
Ready Roll Puff Pasty
Black Pepper
Egg + milk (for wash)
Chilli Powder and Chilli Flakes
Smoked paprika
Method for experimental rolls:
Preheat oven to 200c/400f.
Divide sausage meat equally into 2 bowls.
Add black pepper and smoked paprika to each bowl, add chilli powder to one bowl and chilli flakes to the second then mix.
Cut pastry into squares or rectangles.
Make sausage shapes from meat and roll up.
brush egg wash on top.
Bake for approx. 25 minutes
