A hiking adventure in the French Pyrenees in June of 2025, heading toward Roland’s Breach through deep snow, ice, and running water.
This hike was not about comfort — it was about movement, cold, and commitment.
We crossed a waterfall with soaked boots, pushed forward through snow-covered trails, and slowly gained altitude in harsh winter conditions. Every step closer to the Breach felt earned. Wind, snow, and silence shaped the rhythm of the hike, while the massive stone gateway of Roland’s Breach appeared ahead like a natural monument carved by time.
