This is a $2.3 million dollar build, a custom twin-turbocharged 1959 Cadillac Eldorado Brougham Station Wagon called CadMad.
The build started solely to win a Ridler Award, which it achieved in 2019, investing 4,000 hours combining 1 of just 99 1959 Cadillac Broughams with a 1956 Chevrolet Nomad, finished in a $300,000 paint job, custom 18 inch EVOD wheels, a custom leather and wood interior built over a tube chassis with coilover suspension, and so much more.
Power comes from a bespoke $97,000 Tom Nelson race Engines twin turbocharged 632ci V8 producing 1,025 horsepower and 979 lb-ft of torque on just 7.5 pounds of boost on E85, and paired with a 4L60E 4-speed automatic transmission.
