Part of Thom Singer's quest to make age 50 to 75 the best years of his life has involved 20 minutes of meditation each day. But learning to meditate is hard, as he always felt he was doing it wrong.
Turns out trying to meditate is doing it right. While you can get better at it and learn more effective ways to meditate, just sitting to meditate for a chosen time is beneficial.
Mediation after age 50 is a great way to find peace, less stress, more joy, clear thoughts, focus on goals, and get through hard things (life going to the dentist).
In this video Thom Singer shares how he got started with meditation after age 50, and has a three minute practice for you to sit quietly and try to meditate for the first time.
