Drs. Harriet Leonard and Julia E. Loomis were the first documented medical school graduates in the area. Their story is the beginning of the line of female doctors who followed. Doris will cover their story and that of other Women Doctors who received their state license prior to 1900.
Doris will expertly tell the stories of these bold brave Women and the challenges they faced. You will learn what it was like to attend medical school back then, the medicine and treatments they used and more.
