In March 2022 Hazel Findlay became the second British women to climb 9a, with an ascent of Esclatamasters. In December 2021, just 2 months before their planned trip, Hazel and her partner Angus who was also projecting the route, came into the Lattice HQ to do some testing.
So lets take a look at just how strong these 9a climbers, really are! In this episode Lattice coaches Ollie Torr and Maddy Cope, sat down on the Ask Lattice sofa with Hazel and Angus to chat about the project, their training history, their perceived strengths and weaknesses in climbing, then jump straight into testing these world class athletes.
