Birmingham College of Food, within University College Birmingham (UCB), has been shaping and training the future change makers in our food system here in Birmingham and around the world. They teach chefs, bakers, food service professionals across a range of hospitality and culinary programs. They also cover things like food science, food innovation, product development. They look at sensory science, at analysis, innovation, creativity. There's a whole range of different things evolved around food. It is probably no surprise that the College of Food has trained some of the top chefs and Michelin Star professionals in our city. Lewis Walker, Head of the College of Food, is an outstanding educator, advocate, and chef who has driven key projects across our city both within UCB and with community partners. Lewis was also key in making the Creative Dinners Series happen that brought together Food System Change-Makers from across the UK together at UCB to discuss how we change our food system for the better.
