A quick video of our pergola build.
We build a 12x12ft pergola over the back part of the pool and deck area. This should cast some nice shadows mid to late day and will help cool things down just in time for the summer.
It took roughly 3 days to put together.
Build sheet:
26 - 2x6"x12ft SPF (nice and smoother for stain and sealer)
4 - 4x4 pressure treated posts (didn't want to spent the $ for cedar)
4 - 4x4 metal supports (these were a bit tight for the 4x4 posts and required using a sledge to seat them).
Bunch of 1/2x8" bolts, and 3" would screws for the framing, and 8" timber screws for the supports and purlins.
We stained and seals that wood with Redf Cedar translucent Olympic stain and sealer and painted the posts with e-600 Behr acrylic paint.
