Geauga County sheriff's detectives arrest 4th suspect in connection to robbery of Amish family

Описание: The Geauga County Sheriff's Office says a fourth suspect has been arrested for his role in the targeting of an Amish family in Middlefield Township, leading to a violent robbery that involved physical assault, stun guns and threats against an 8-year-old child last week.

On Thursday afternoon, sheriff's detectives working alongside Bainbridge Township police officers arrested 43-year-old Ricky Lee Martin of Canton in Bainbridge Township.

"It is alleged that Martin, while functioning as an Amish taxi driver, would scout Amish owned businesses, residences and properties, assessing their potential value as targets for burglaries, thefts and other criminal actions," Geauga County sheriff's officials explained.

Martin faces a charge of complicity to commit aggravated robbery, a felony of the first degree. He is currently being held at the Geauga County Sheriff's Office Jail pending a court appearance.

Officials ask that anyone who used Martin as a driver and was victim to a theft, burglary or other similar offense to contact the Geauga County Sheriff's Office at 440-286-1234 to speak with detectives.
