Regular maintenance of the Porta-Screen is an integral part of a long service life and the Connecting Rod Bearing should be lubricated every 80 to 100 hours of operation.
To access the Connecting Rod Bearing ‘s Grease Fitting you first, remove all screen trays and disconnect the unit from its power source.
Please note that the grease fitting may be pointing either to the front or rear of the unit.
Remove one upper case covers and set aside.
Observe which way the grease fitting is facing. If necessary, remove the rear cover for complete access.
Now rotate the Drive Shaft slightly by hand until the grease fitting at the lower end of the Connecting Rod is accessible.
Using any good-quality grease, fit the grease gun onto the grease fitting and apply a small amount or grease.
Finally reattach the upper case covers.
